In 2021, financial information was the target of 52 percent of significant cyber security incidents attacking healthcare organizations in the U.S.. Furthermore, 43 percent of incidents targeted employee information, while patient information was the focus of 39 percent of incidents. A further share of 15 percent targeted intellectual property, and confidential business information.
