Impact of cyber security incidents in healthcare organizations in the U.S. 2021
In 2021, 44 percent of healthcare organizations that had experienced a significant cyber security incident reported the attack had no or negligible impact. However, 32 percent reported disruption of systems and devices which impacted business operations, while 17 percent experienced monetary loss. Another share of 22 percent reported experiencing data breaches or data leakage as a result of cyber security incidents.
