Most popular free mobile games in Hungary 2023, by downloads

In 2023, Words of Wonders: Crossword was the most popular free mobile gaming application in Hungary, totaling over 476,000 downloads. Stumble Guys ranked second with nearly 469,000 downloads over the considered period. At the same time, Gaminator Casino Slots was the highest-grossing mobile game with a revenue of 2.3 million U.S. dollars. 

 Leading mobile apps

SHEIN was the leading free mobile application as of 2023, counting approximately 1.6 downloads. Over the same time period, TikTok was downloaded approximately 1.47 million times in Hungary, which made it second in the ranking. As of May 2023, Google One was the highest-grossing mobile application in the country, with a revenue of nearly 373,000 U.S. dollars.

 Mobile gaming takes the lead

Over the past years, mobile phones have become many people's constant companions, allowing them to access information, communicate, and entertain themselves. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that they have also become the most common gaming devices. In 2023, 75 percent of Hungarians who played video games, did so on their smartphones, while laptops followed with a 37 percent share.
