Governmental budget for fertility decline related measures Japan FY 2016-2021
In the fiscal year 2021, the government in Japan planned a budget of almost six trillion Japanese yen for countermeasures to address the ongoing fertility decline in the country, a continuous increase from just over four trillion Japanese yen in fiscal 2016. The majority of the budget of fiscal 2021 was planned to be utilized for the support of citizens with child-rearing.
