Opinion on the 1905 law on secularism in France 2023, by political affiliation
According to a survey conducted in 2023, a large majority of the French population believed the 1905 law on the separation of the Church and the State, should remain as it is, indeed there were 71 percent of those surveyed who thought that way. On the other hand, eight percent of the respondents thought this law should be removed.
