Most common reasons for saving money among households in Japan 2022

In a survey conducted in 2022, over 60 percent of the respondents in Japan stated that their household was saving to be prepared for old age. Around 56.5 percent of the respondents saved money to be prepared for unexpected events, such as illness or disaster.
