As of December 31, 2023, the Department of Energy reported 1,220 renewable energy projects in the Philippines for commercial use. Among the various resources, there were 434 solar energy projects and 428 hydropower. In addition, there were 239 wind energy projects.
Renewable energy projects in the country was created in fulfillment of the Renewable Energy Act of 2008, which promotes the development, utilization, and commercialization of renewable energy resources and for other purposes.
