Bed density in European nursing and residential care facilities 2022
In 2022, the Netherlands was the country in the EU with the most beds in nursing and residential care facilities. During that year, the Netherlands had 1,420 beds per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Sweden with 1,299 beds, and Belgium with 1,282 beds. On the other hand, Bulgaria only had 25 beds per hundred thousand inhabitants, the lowest count in the EU.
