In December 2020, two percent more of surveyed smartphone users globally had intentions to upgrade to a 5G smartphone, compared to the same survey in March 2019. North America had the highest percentage change with eight percentage points more than in 2019. In contrast, the upgrade intentions in Europe dropped with three percent points less, compared to March 2019.
