Financial savings represented roughly 91 percent of Mexico's gross domestic product (GDP) in December 2022. Out of the total savings, fixed-income securities and senior trust bonds amounted to almost 35 percent of the country's GDP as of that time. In 2020, Mexican households saved approximately 20 percent of their disposable income.
