In a survey conducted in October 2019 among global travel marketers it was found that the majority of advertising expenditures in this sector were devoted to digital media across all segments. TV advertising held the second largest share, with the cruise segment allocating 25 percent of their 2019 budget to this medium, compared to 19 percent spent by OTAs.
