Reasons for blocking PR communications by journalists worldwide in 2022
According to a global survey on journalism, those working in the sector are faced with many challenges on top of a high workload, and as such 74 percent said that if a PR person spammed them with irrelevant offers, they would block them or put them on their "do not call" list. Additionally, almost 50 percent said that they would do the same if a PR employee repeatedly followed up with them. Other triggers included receiving inaccurate information, lack of transparency, and failing to respect deadlines.
