More than half of real estate investors in the United States expected to invest more in commercial real estate in 2021 than they did in 2020 (55 percent). Approximately one third, on the other hand, expected to invest less than they did the year before.

As of 2020, the largest share of commercial real estate investments in the United States were made in the multifamily real estate sector. The interest in real estate investments was high throughout 2020 and is expected to remain as such in 2021. According to the source, real estate investors are particularly excited about making online investments.
