Europe: town and suburban household internet access 2020

In 2020, the share of town and suburban households with access to an internet connection was highest in the Netherlands, reaching 98 percent. The Netherlands was also among the European countries with the highest share of internet access in urban households. The United Kingdom, Iceland, and Denmark ranked directly below the Netherlands, reaching 97 percent. Among the countries with a low share of households in towns and suburbs with internet access were Portugal, Greece and Bulgaria, all achieving around 80 percent.
