The prevalence of use of angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) among individuals suffering from hypertension increased overall in Italy between 2006 and 2021. In fact, in 2006 the share of individuals taking ARBs drugs was equal to around 27.2 percent, while by 2020 this figure reached almost 31.4 percent.
