In 2020, 31 percent of the Tunisian respondents believed that the media and journalists often disseminated information knowing that it was false. Overall, a large 53 percent of the surveyed population in the country agreed that false information were sometimes or rarely spread on purpose by the media. Only nine percent considered, on the other hand, that this never occurred.
