According to a survey of internet users in Italy, as of the third quarter of 2023, roughly 84.1 percent of respondents reported playing video games on any device. Smartphone gaming was the most popular option among respondents, with 55.1 percent stating they played video games on their smartphones. Console gaming was more popular than laptop or desktop gaming, with 37 percent of respondents stating they played on console compared to the 23.2 percent reporting they played video games on a laptop or desktop.
