Slovakia was the EU country with the highest average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from new light commercial vehicles in 2019, the average being around 174 grams CO2 per kilometer. The year 2019 marked the second consecutive year during which CO2 emissions grew, going up by 0.4 and reaching an EU-wide average of over 158g CO2 per kilometer.
