Electric vehicle fleet distribution in the European Union 2020

In 2020, passenger cars made up the majority of the European Union's 2.24 million electric vehicles. They dwarfed all other vehicle types. By contrast, electric trucks represented only around 0.03 percent of the fleet. Since charging infrastructure is often considered inaccessible for long-haul traffic, acceptance is low in this sector.
