Size of SPAC IPOs: London, Euronext, NASDAQ OMX vs Frankfurt 2020-2021
Approximately 55 percent of the total proceeds raised in European SPAC IPOs in 2021 came from listings on Euronext in Amsterdam and Paris. Meanwhile, the London stock exchange was home to more deals in 2020. Special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) are public companies with neither a specific business plan, nor a product or service to sell. The specific purpose of SPACs is to raise capital and then merge with, or acquire a private company.
