Berths in French maritime ports 2018, by maritime area
In 2018, the total number of berths in French maritime ports amounted to 217,300. However, the breakdown of these berths varies according to the maritime zone. The coastal region with the most numerous berths was the East side of the Mediterranean Sea in 2018. The number of berths in that part of the Mediterranean coast indeed amounted to 65,600 that year, while French overseas ports alone had only 11,000 berths to welcome vessels.
