According to the results of a recent study done on the search box visibility of mobile and desktop websites of 26 brands in the United Kingdom (UK), a third of the surveyed brands had a full search icon visible on their websites on desktops. Regarding a visible full search bar in the desktop website, 69 percent of the brands incorporated this feature.

The research was conducted by a Macbook Air using Google Chrome in an Incognito browser and on a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G using Google Chrome in an Incognito browser
