By September 2020, 27 percent of the respondents focused on reasonable pricing while deciding for the purchase of staples in India. This remained stable compared to the pre-Covid period in 2019. On the other hand, quality and brand increased as focus categories, while the option to feel and touch lost a bit of its significance.
