Viva Air: air passenger traffic 2020-2021
The number of air passengers transported by the low-cost airline Fast Colombia S.A.S. —which operates under the name Viva Air— plummeted in April 2020 to approximately 2.8 thousand from a monthly average of over 350 thousand in the first quarter of that year. The reduction of the Colombian air carrier's passenger traffic due to the COVID-19 pandemic started in March 2020 and reached its lowest point five months later, at 1.4 thousand. By the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, Fast Colombia started to recover in the passenger segment, though with figures still below the pre-pandemic months.
