According to a 2020 study, around three quarters of the workforce in Guatemala and El Salvador had occupations with a high risk of being replaced by automation. The share of employees likely to be replaced by robots stood above 60 percent for all the Latin American countries reported. Nevertheless, the probability of labor automation in Latin America drops considerably when considering tasks, instead of occupations.
