Share of business establishments offering parental leave Japan FY 1996-2021, by size
In the fiscal year 2021, about 95 percent of business establishments in Japan with 30 or more employees offered a parental leave system to their employees. At the same time, around 79.6 percent of business establishments with five or more employees provided childcare leave, representing the highest point in the measured period.
