Opinion on whether VAR improves soccer UK 2020, by age
VAR (video assistant referee) is a source of constant debate among soccer fans across the world. While the use of technology can be useful to determine whether the ball has crossed the goal-line, its application by referees to determine fouls and offsides remains controversial. During a November 2020 survey in the UK, 24 percent of respondents aged 45 to 54 stated that VAR was making soccer much worse, while only seven percent believed it was making soccer much better.
