From 2005 to 2023, trust in news broadcasted by newspapers remained relatively stable in France. That value reached its highest point in 2015 as a total of 58 percent of respondents thought that events happen as reported by the press. As of 2023, 52 percent of them had the same opinion. Regional and local newspapers are the most trusted media by French people.
