The subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) market in the European Union is dominated by a few global players, although more developed European markets have strong local companies as well. In 2020, the SVOD services which showed the two highest revenues were Netflix and Amazon, with 5.3 billion euros and 1.9 billion euros, respectively. The other 29 SVOD services presented in the statistic show revenues lower than 380 million euros each.
