Latin America: contactless payment spending 2020, by country
In 2020, it was estimated that Chile processed around 29 billion U.S. dollars worth of contactless transactions, making it the country with the highest contactless spending volume in Latin America. Brazil ranked second, with 18 billion U.S. dollars in contactless spending. Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia processed less than 5 billion U.S. dollars, each.
