In 2021, when asked about the effects of the "Family 500 plus" program, Poles most often noted its positive impact on the budgets of households with children - the ability of families receiving the child benefit to manage their money more freely (36 percent in total) and significant improvement of the situation of children from low-income families (33 percent in total). Eighteen percent of Poles declared that they knew cases of improper money spending from the Family 500 Plus program. Overall, slightly more than one in ten respondents noted the pro-natalist effect of the program, according to which the introduction of the child benefit influenced or accelerated the decision to have a first or subsequent child.
