Daily number of COVID-19 vaccination doses in Namibia 2023
On June 18, 2023, Namibia administered 63 daily doses of vaccine against the coronavirus (COVID-19). The country started the vaccination campaign on March 19, 2021, with the first 22 doses of Sinovac. This was after the Chinese government donated 100 thousand doses of the vaccine to the country. Moreover, Namibia is also using the Covishield vaccine, widely known as AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine. As of April 19, 2021, the country's Minister of Health declared that the second vaccination phase would be rolled out, after receiving 24,000 doses of the vaccine through the COVAX initiative.
