According to a survey among 1,100 real estate investors, multifamily, industrial, and build-to-rent were the most popular asset classes in the United States in 2022. Approximately 93 percent of investors said that it was likely or very likely that they would invest in multifamily real estate. In 2021, multifamily real estate attracted the largest volume of investment among the main commercial real estate sectors.
