Share of men buying takeaway and bento in Japan 2019, by age group and frequency
In a survey conducted in November 2019 in Japan, 22.8 percent of men aged 30 to 39 stated that they used takeout or bento services two to three times a week. According to the survey, men in their forties had the highest usage rate of take-away and bento services. The frequency of making use of said services peaked out for people in their forties and declined afterwards with increasing age.
