Number of refugee and asylum seekers in Libya 2000-2020

As of 2020, there were around 45.5 thousand refugees and asylum seekers in Libya. The number increased compared to 2015, when it amounted to approximately 36.8 thousand. In general, the number of people living in Libya with the status of refugee or asylum seeker grew considerably from 2015 onwards. The lowest amount in the years examined was recorded at around 11 thousand in 2010.
