In 2022, the capacity factor of nuclear power stations in Japan amounted to around 18.7 percent. Figures dropped to zero in 2014 when all nuclear reactors in Japan were shut down for safety inspections after the nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. The first nuclear reactors were restarted in 2015.
