The number of deposit accounts holders in commercial banks in Kenya decreased to roughly 64 million in 2022, down from 66.3 million holders in the previous year. The fall in these last two years interrupted a growth tendency observed since 2010. Kenya registered almost 12 million deposit accounts in commercial financial institutions that year.
