In 2023, downloads of Facebook Messenger experienced a decrease across all examined regions. In the Asia-Pacific region, Messenger downloaded went down to barely 100 million, compared to 136 million for the last measured full-year period. Between 2015 and 2023, downloads of Facebook's instant messaging app experienced a downward trend in the North and Latin American region, slowly decreasing from more than 300 million in 2015 to 71 million in 2023.
