Online banking usage among digital buyers in Japan 2023, by age group

According to a survey conducted in Japan in 2023, around 26.1 percent of respondents in their fifties had used online and mobile banking to pay for online purchases or online financial transactions made in the past year. While credit cards were the most popular payment method, around 22 percent of respondents had used online and mobile banking methods to pay for goods and services bought online. Online banking usage was more prevalent among male consumers.
