Market value share held by private labels in Germany 2023, by product category
In 2023, private label baked goods made up 58.2 percent of the grocery retail market in Germany. Among all product groups that are represented here, household wrappers had the highest share of private labels at 82.1 percent. Among food products, self-service sausage products were the front-runners in terms of private labels - with a share of 64.9 percent. Overall, the share of private labels in food products was 43.2 percent.
