Employment in the agricultural sector reached its peak in Central Africa, comparing to the other continent’s regions, with a share of nearly 51 percent in total employment. Agriculture also contributed to more than 45 percent of total employment in East Africa. The sector had the least participation in North Africa, accounting for 21 percent of the region’s total employment.
