In 2020, a survey asked U.S. consumers how much they expected to spend for purchased items to get free shipping. Almost one in two consumers stated that they would have to spend from 30 to 50 U.S. dollars. A further 25.8 percent of the persons questioned believed the minimum spending to amount between 20 to 30 U.S. dollars. Only 1.6 percent estimated to have to spend 75 to 100 U.S. dollars.
