Financial results of Grupa RMF in Poland 2018-2019

Grupa RMF (RMF Group) is a company established in 1997. It also owns a media group formed by three nationwide and four local radio stations - Radio RMF FM, RMF Classic, RMF Maxxx, Radio Gra, Radio Jura, Radio 90, and Radiofonia 100,5 FM. In 2019, Grupa RMF Sp. z.o.o. Sp. k. generated a net sales revenue worth nearly 322 million zloty, which was an increase of 8.5 percent year-on-year.    

How popular is Radio RMF FM in Poland?

            Over the years, the listenership share of RMF FM steadily increased, reaching nearly 30 percent of the Polish population as of February 2021. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Grupa RMF’s radio brand is the leading radio station nationwide, followed by Radio ZET. However, despite being the undisputed leader across the country, most Polish capital residents preferred listening to Radio ZET, which reached over 12 percent of Warsaw’s population.    

 Radio advertising in Poland

             As of January 2021, radio advertising revenues reached nearly 620 million zloty, a considerable decrease year on year. On the other hand, regarding the advertising income of leading radio stations, RMF FM recorded the highest revenue from ad services, reaching over 417 million zloty in the first quarter of 2021. Furthermore, RMF FM’s most expensive ad spots were placed from Wednesday to Friday mornings, costing as much as 46.5 thousand zloty for a 30 seconds spot.
