In recent years, electric motorized two-wheelers became more and more popular, as they appeared as less polluting means of transportation. A study conducted in France in 2019 showed that such vehicles were essentially used by motorcyclists for commuting to work. Also, 57 percent of French motorcyclists stated using electric two-wheelers for leisure in 2019.
