In 2021, around 28 percent of wage workers aged 15 to 29 years old in South Korea worked in wholesale, retail trade, accommodation, and food services. This was followed by the public service sector with about 22 percent of youth workers. Overall, around 80 percent of the youth in South Korea worked in the service sector.
