According to a survey on consumer insights in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in 2020, the share of online consumer electronic purchases increased from 37 percent in 2019 to 47 percent in 2020 in Saudi Arabia. Shopping behaviors were altered significantly to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the lockdowns, store closures, and protective measures taken to prevent its spread.
