The Japanese fiscal year starts on April 1 of the stated year and ends on March 31 of the following year. Figures for previous years are based on earlier surveys, each with a sample size of 3,000 respondents. **Figures are based on diary entries of 1,500 respondents. Answers represent the average usage time of two weekdays, which is why the sample size is indicated as 3,000 respondents.
