Popular destinations for domestic luxury travelers in India 2020
According to the survey on Indian luxury travelers conducted during May 2020, around 50 percent of respondents chose Goa as the most popular domestic destination during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, it was not the densely populated cities or the palace hotels of Rajasthan that lead the list, but rather, remote areas like mountainous regions in the Himalaya or the islands in the Indian Ocean. In the opinion of the respondents, the risk impact by the pandemic was lower in these parts of the country.
