The value of venture capital (VC) funding raised by African startups on the continent in 2020 decreased significantly from the previous year. According to Partech Africa, 304 million U.S. dollars in VC funding went to startups in Kenya. Disrupt Africa, however, reported a significantly lower value of 191.4 million U.S. dollars in VC funding that went to Kenyan startups in 2020. The lowest VC funding value was reported by Briter Bridges, with 77.1 million U.S. dollars.
