In May 2022, consumers in Japan made around 2.78 million Pay-easy payments to the national government using online banking and direct payment. The total transaction volume increased by around 17 percent compared to May of the previous year.
Pay-easy is a payment service that allows consumers to make payments at ATMs or via online and mobile banking. It can be used for tax payments, public utility charges, and online shopping.
